Two New Discussion Threads about TypeWright!

Greetings and Salutations!

As I have already stated, I am fully aware that you all know 18thConnect much better than I do. Hence, I have started two new discussion threads to tap into the greater knowledge base.  Find both these new discussions in the “18thConnect” sub-head in tblackwells_dandelionhe 18thConnect Forum.

As a “Noobie” to the community, I have questions.  As a Folklore scholar, I have arcane questions about best/accepted practices for correcting printed (as opposed to oral) texts.  I suppose I could ask these questions on Twitter, (#name_of_document?) but I doubt that the advice would be as extensive as the advice from a discussion on 18thConnect.  Find this new discussion forum for questions–and I hope answers!–under the very unoriginal name “TypeWright Correction Questions and Answers.”

I have also come to realize that many of you might have large projects for which we could help boost the “crowd” part of the “crowd-sourcing.”  An easy way to accomplish this boost: to be highlighted as the monthly “featured document” in TypeWright!

So… instead of me choosing arbitrary documents by season, or by whatever catches my fancy, or by any number of other quirky and personal criteria, I have started the new discussion titled “TypeWright ‘Featured Item’ Suggestions.”  Any 18thConnect member can suggest and discuss items to be featured in the TypeWright section of 18thConnect.

Sowing the seeds of crowd-sourcing, I remain your 18th Century dilettante,

Anne Arundel
