In addition to this, standardized testing has robbed teachers of the freedom to teach the way they want to. Instead of leeway and freedom to plan classroom activities, teachers are forced to teach a strict curriculum to prepare the students for a single test. This standardization causes slower students anxiety and advanced students no challenge. A teacher must deal with those struggling to pass the test, while also placating those who already know the material.
